After a long career raising awareness about "frogs turning gay" and "sodium fluoridated water" though his Infowars brand, alt-right provocateur Alex Jones is on the ropes. On Aug. 6, Facebook, Apple, YouTube, and Spotify all removed content by Jones, citing policy violations. Vimeo, Pinterest, and even LinkedIn quickly followed suit. Jones has previously accused Muslim immigrants of trying to conquer European countries, which YouTube said violated policies against hate speech, while Facebook accused Jones of "glorifying violence" and dehumanizing transgender people. However, one social media company seems to be betting big on Jones, and users are livid about it. Twitter has suspended Jones over a tweet in which he called for an "attack" on "the enemy" before a false flag operation. The New York Post called a “false flag operation” one that “conspiracy theorists refer to as a staged act of violence to influence public opinion.” However, Twitter also said it will not shut Jones down permanently inciting an 86% negative reaction from social media. In response, activists have called for a boycott of Fortune 500 companies on Twitter, to hurt Twitter's ad revenue. –Hugo Guzman
