Love him or hate him, it’s impossible to deny that President Donald Trump has made quite a splash on the world stage since his 2016 campaign and Inauguration almost a year ago. Trump, who was celebrating Thanksgiving at his Mar-a-Lago resort, bragged on Friday that he was considered for Time’s Person of the Year this year but turned the magazine down. There’s just one problem with Trump’s claim: Time says it’s not true. “The President is incorrect about how we choose Person of the Year,” the magazine clarified online. “TIME does not comment on our choice until publication, which is December 6.” Trump’s trumped-up boast has earned him nothing but ridicule online. He’s posting at 73 percent negatives, and it’s fair to say that whether or not the President ends up on Time’s cover come December, he’s not topping Social’s list anytime soon. --Hugo Guzman
