President Trump’s first year in office is coming to a close, and while he unsurprisingly believes it’s been a smashing success, the opinion of the online masses is somewhat different. While comparing the first quarter of his term in the White House with that of previous Presidents, Trump recently falsely claimed that “we have signed more legislation than anybody.” He also tweeted about what an “incredible year” his Administration had, adding, “Don’t let the Fake news convince you otherwise … our insider Polls are strong!” The Wall Street Journal tabulated that Trump has been hanging out at one of his properties for almost a third of his days as POTUS thus far, and as New York Magazine points out: “21 of the Administration’s 61 senior officials were either allowed to resign, fired, or reassigned in 2017. That 34 percent first-year turnover rate is the highest in at least four decades.” In addition, former campaign manager Paul Manafort was charged with tax fraud and money laundering, and former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI. The passage of the Republican tax bill—Trump’s crowning achievement to date—gave him a small bump on Social, but over the last 14 days, “Trump + First Year” is still registering just a 41 percent positive score. –Alex Shultz
