Donald Trump's presidency has been under scrutiny from the very start, literally. Trump boasted that his Inauguration broke attendance numbers, but many were skeptical after photos of the 2016 crowd were compared with those from 2012. Now, his swearing-in could be under even closer investigation because of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election and the Trump Campaign's possible collusion with the Kremlin. According to ABC News, Mueller has "followed the money" straight to several wealthy Russian nationals who were granted special access to the Inauguration. Mueller is also looking into the role of Rick Gates, an associate of one-time Trump Campaign chief Paul Manafort, in planning the event. Last February, Gates pleaded guilty to giving FBI investigators false statements about his own financial ties to Russia. Gates helped raised more than $106 million for the Inauguration, and according to Vox reporter Andrew Prokop, many speculate that some of that cash secretly came from Russia, which would be a violation of federal election law. Social certainly thinks there could be something suspicious here, with 71 percent holding negative opinions about Trump's first big day in the presidential sun (although it was rainy). –Hugo Guzman
