Super Bowl 52 pits arguably the greatest quarterback in NFL history against a backup unexpectedly thrust into the spotlight, but Social is all about the underdog. New England Patriots star Tom Brady has been here before – this will be his eighth appearance in the Big Game, and he has five championships to his name. Even at 40 years old, he’s still putting up dominant numbers, throwing for 4,577 yards and 32 touchdowns during the 2017 regular season. But his team’s annoyingly consistent success and his alleged involvement in the “Deflategate” scandal have made him unpopular for someone of his stature: He has just a 45 percent positive score on Social over the past seven days. Meanwhile, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles wasn’t supposed to be starting this game, but an injury to QB Carson Wentz late in the regular season opened up an opportunity that Foles has seized. It helps that he is playing with perhaps the most talented team in the league, so his job is to not screw it up for everyone else. He did that and then some in the NFC Championship against the Minnesota Vikings, throwing for 352 yards and three touchdowns. Brady has six times the volume of responses on Social compared with Foles, but Mr. Outta-Nowhere has the edge with a 55 percent positive score on 30dB. –Alex Shultz
