The UK is headed for a surprise election in less than two months, and the two major candidates in the running for Prime Minister are both deeply unpopular on Social. Current Prime Minister Theresa May of the Conservative Party called the election in an attempt to bolster her majority in Parliament. She previously said she wouldn’t do so, but she’s looking to add seats in light of the difficult Brexit negotiations as she faces blowback from not only members of the Labour Party and Liberal-Democrats, but fellow Conservatives, too. The Labour Party standard-bearer will be Jeremy Corbyn, who, like May, hasn’t exactly endeared himself to voters. May’s party is in a much better spot than Corbyn’s, however, and that could ultimately make the difference in the now-scheduled June 8 election. May sits at a 36 percent positive score over the last 30 days, while Corbyn is at just 23 percent positive.
