Thursday marked round one of four at the 2018 Masters, which features a rejuvenated Tiger Woods back in the pack for the first time in three years. Woods, 42, had a couple of comeback attempts derailed because of back problems and substance abuse issues, but his most recent return to golf has gone much more swimmingly. At the Valspar Championship in Florida last month, he finished in second place, spurring some hype that he could earn his first major since the 2008 U.S. Open. It’s been even longer since Woods was victorious at Augusta National: His last win there was in 2005 (he has four overall at this event). The competitors expected to be in contention through the weekend will make a Woods victory quite difficult to achieve, though. There are the twentysomething wunderkinds like Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas, the mainstays such as Dustin Johnson and Rory McIlroy, and the old guard, featuring Justin Rose and Phil Mickelson. Woods had a so-so start on Day One, finishing +1, but Social won't be deterred in hoping that Tiger returns to the glory days of 21 years ago when at age 21 he burned across the Augusta course to set off one of the most storied runs in golf: Over the past seven days, “The Masters + Tiger Woods” has an 81 percent positive score. –Alex Shultz
