No amount of silly filters can make Snap CEO Evan Spiegel look good after a former employee alleged that the boss once told him that Snapchat is “only for rich people.” According to a lawsuit filed by former Snap employee Anthony Pompliano, Spiegel also said that he didn’t want to expand to poor countries like India. The company has responded, calling the allegations ridiculous. But Social doesn’t care, giving Spiegel an 89 percent negative sentiment rating. That might look bad, but it pales in comparison to the thousands of one-star reviews laid on Snapchat in app stores as the backlash against Snap’s CEO builds. And according to English newspaper The Independent, Indian hackers have gone a step further by claiming to have posted the personal details of 1.7 million Snapchat users on the deep web in response to Spiegel’s comment. It’s not the first time Snapchat has been the target of hackers. In 2013, millions of accounts were compromised, with usernames and phone numbers being released.
