Donald Trump Jr. is getting most of the scorn/attention in recent days for his role in organizing a meeting with Russians allegedly connected to the Kremlin to collect dirt on Hillary Clinton, but President Trump’s son-in-law isn’t exactly Mr. Popularity either. Jared Kushner, along with Trump’s then- campaign chieftain Paul Manafort, attended that fateful meeting in June 2016, one of many miscues that has Politico wondering in a recent headline: “Why Does Jared Kushner Still Have a Security Clearance?” The New York Times learned that Kushner updated his clearance form with “more than 100 foreign contacts” that were previously unlisted. And he’s still recovering from another Russia flub: In May, it was reported that Kushner attempted to establish a back channel of communications with Moscow officials shortly after Trump won the presidency. Add it all up, and Ivanka Trump’s husband has somehow become one of the most unpopular figures in an increasingly unpopular family. Over the last two weeks, “Jared Kushner” has just a 20 percent positive score on Social, with words driving the Vibe like “lied” and “fed up.”
