The past couple of weeks saw one of the biggest shake-ups in Hollywood mogul history when first The New York Times and then The New Yorker revealed that producer Harvey Weinstein (the force behind such films as Kill Bill, The King’s Speech and Wind River) has been accused of sexually harassing or assaulting dozens of women in Hollywood and using his money and clout to cover up his conduct. Actresses like Angelina Jolie and Ashley Judd, among a casting call of others, have come forward to say that Weinstein is one of the most predatory figures in Tinseltown. Weinstein alternated between being contrite (saying he plans to seek therapy) and being belligerent (threatening to sue the Times). But that’s not good enough for Social, where men and women alike have few kind words for Harvey. Social sentiment among men is 84 percent negative; women are, surprisingly, slightly lower at 82 percent negative. That doesn't mean women feel any less outraged about Weinstein. Rather it may reflect the fact that women are generally nicer online (Ann Coulter, we’re not talking about you). But for Weinstein, who got the bum’s rush from the company he founded, that may be cold comfort. –Hugo Guzman
