In 2014, wide receiver Dez Bryant caught 88 passes for 1,320 yards and a league-leading 16 touchdowns. It was his third straight season with at least 1,200 yards and 12 scores. But now, still just 29 years old, Bryant is out of a job, with few if any teams interested in his services. Bryant was cut by the Dallas Cowboys in April after a ho-hum 2017 in which he had 69 receptions for 838 yards and six touchdowns. The three-time Pro Bowler just didn't look like his former self, though he was able to suit up for all 16 games, unlike trudging through his previous two years with debilitating injuries. ESPN’s Adam Schefter recently reported that the Baltimore Ravens were ready and willing to give Bryant a multiyear deal worth around $7 million annually, but the sometimes volatile wide receiver said no because he wants a short-term contract. Schefter also reported that plenty of other squads don’t even want to offer Bryant a veteran’s minimum contract and that no one else in the NFC East—Bryant’s preferred destination—is intrigued enough to talk to him. Over the past 14 days, “Dez Bryant” has a 38 percent positive score on Social. –Alex Shultz
