An ongoing investigation into an incident involving two Bachelor in Paradise participants has led to an indefinite shutdown of the show. The fourth season of the spinoff of The Bachelor was barely into production in Mexico when the decision was made to send everyone home. Multiple publications have reported that on June 4, two cast members, DeMario Jackson and Corinne Olympios, were drinking alcohol throughout the day and that at some point a sexual encounter occurred. Sources close to Jackson told TMZ everything that happened was consensual, but others on Team Olympios said she was too drunk to give consent. Olympios released a statement that said, in part, "Although I have little memory of that night, something bad obviously took place, which I understand is why production on the show has now been suspended." People added that besides a producer who filed a complaint after either seeing the encounter or watching film of it, at least three other contestants were witnesses, so more news is sure to come out. Given the unfolding controversy, Bachelor in Paradise has just a 6 percent positive score over the last seven days.
