Former one term Congressman Joe Walsh is going after The Big Dog, Donald Trump for the GOP 2020 Presidential nomination. Walsh cut his political teeth riding into Congress on the Tea Party coattails and was a poster boy for the disruptive Republican movement. Walsh was known for aggressively going after President Obama and adopting the Tea Party's no prisoners approach to governance rejecting any new taxes and refusing to expand the debt ceiling. As part of his jump into the primary season Walsh has apologized for his attacks on Obama, for his highly controversial tweets and statements and for his aggressive approach to governing as the carrot to his stick of going after President Trump with an attack to make the far left cheer. Of Mr. Trump, Congressman Walsh didn't mince words in his video announcing his candidacy calling President Trump "A president who sides with foreign dictators over our intelligence community. A president who spews hate virtually every time he opens his mouth. A president who is teaching millions of American children it’s okay to lie and it’s okay to bully. See, Donald Trump doesn’t represent us—he represents the worst of us." Twitter is mixed on Mr. Walsh with many not forgiving his "racist" past while others are happy someone from the GOP is calling the President out for his behavior. @WalshFreedom is pulling 43 percent positives for the first couple of days of his candidacy, compared to @realDonaldTrump's 41 percent positive for the same period.
