In a one-sided Twitter spat featuring the hosts of two political shows, there are no winners. On Monday, Fox News conservative commentator Sean Hannity ripped into MSNBC centrist Joe Scarborough, who had the audacity to criticize Trump senior advisor Stephen Miller. Scarborough was especially appalled at Miller’s comments during a Sunday interview in which he sounded sort of authoritarian about the powers of the president. Hannity has been a Trump cheerleader for a while now, and Scarborough is said to have a friendly relationship with the President—though recent events seem to have shifted his opinion a bit. Hannity pounced after Scarborough’s criticism of Miller, making fun of Morning Joe’s ratings in a series of tweets and calling him a “jackass.” The former Florida congressman tweeted back that Hannity’s rants weren’t worth responding to, which, in a way, is a response. Social is slightly more on Hannity’s side—40 percent of users have a positive opinion of him, compared with 36 percent for Scarborough.
