Skier Lindsey Vonn is taking a stand against President Trump, but it’s not endearing her to Twitter. The Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea, are fast approaching, and Vonn—who won gold at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver—is one of America’s highest-profile participants. Last Thursday in an interview with CNN, Vonn said she hoped “to represent the people of the United States, not the president” during her events. She later added she would “absolutely not” accept an invitation to the White House. That statement is likely more than enough for President Trump to revoke any invitation in the first place, a move he previously made with Stephen Curry and the NBA champion Golden State Warriors, who expressed their own reservations about an Oval Office visit. Trump aside, Vonn’s availability for the Olympics might be in question after she suffered a back injury in a World Cup Super-G race in Switzerland on Saturday that Yahoo! Sports says left her “experiencing extreme pain.” She’ll have a few months to mend her body before the Games begin on Feb. 9 – and maybe also her standing on Twitter: Over the last day, @LindseyVonn has a 35 percent positive score. –Alex Shultz
