Donald Trump Jr. and U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley can cry foul all they want, but Social generally enjoyed Hillary Clinton’s surprise cameo during a skit at Sunday’s Grammy Awards. The taped sketch involved a bunch of musicians “auditioning” for the role of reading Michael Wolff’s book Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House in hopes of being nominated for next year’s Best Spoken Word award at the Grammys. After cycling through Snoop Dogg, Cardi B, DJ Khaled and others, Clinton made an appearance to read a passage about Trump’s fear of being poisoned and his propensity for eating McDonald’s. Haley didn’t directly call out Clinton, though she expressed her displeasure with the skit, tweeting: “I have always loved the Grammys but to have artists read the Fire and Fury book killed it. Don’t ruin great music with trash. Some of us love music without the politics thrown in it.” Trump Jr. was more direct, writing: “Getting to read a #fakenews book excerpt at the Grammys seems like a great consolation prize for losing the presidency.” Haley’s tweet in particular has drawn criticism, since President Trump has been known to mix politics with a little bit of everything – for example, injecting himself into the dispute over NFL players “taking a knee” this season. Over the last day, “@HillaryClinton + #Grammys” has a 63 percent positive score on Social. –Alex Shultz
