The 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang wrapped up on Sunday, meaning the time has arrived to assess who might have the best case for strongest performance by an American athlete. On the women's side, early returns point to one clear winner: Jessie Diggins. The 26-year-old and her teammate, Kikkan Randall, combined to take the gold medal in the freestyle team sprint skiing event. Diggins didn't win her other races, but she left an indelible impression on the rest of the world. Over the last 14 days, @JessDiggs has a 96 percent positive score on Twitter. That's far and away the highest out of any of the top women competitors from the U.S. Skier Mikaela Shiffrin, who won gold in the giant slalom and silver in the combined skiing competition, is a distant second with a 79 percent positive score over that same span. She's followed by snowboard halfpipe gold medalist Chloe Kim, who has a 77 percent positive score, and Lindsey Vonn with 67 percent positive. Vonn, who grabbed a somewhat disappointing bronze in downhill skiing, has faced a constant barrage of criticism from Trump supporters after saying prior to the games, "I hope to represent the people of the United States, not the President." –Alex Shultz, Image: Twitter / @USSkiTeam
