House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) did a number on his popularity numbers after releasing a widely criticized memo slamming the investigation of Russian meddling in Election 2016 by the FBI and Justice Dept. But the infamous Nunes memo isn't just hurting its author. House Speaker Paul Ryan has seen his social media numbers collapse after he pushed for the memo's release and then published a tweet (since deleted) patting himself and his fellow Republicans on the back for improving paychecks by passing the GOP tax reform bill. The pay raise of a Pennsylvania secretary that he cited raised hackles because it amounted to a robust $1.50 a week, which, if you have another $2.49 for lunch, means you could treat yourself to a Big Mac. Sarcasm abounds around Ryan's online presence, with most of the chatter landing him squarely in the red zone, at 69 percent negative. Even worse, that tweet led to a boost in donations for Ryan's potential Democrat challenger in the upcoming midterm elections. Randy Bryce, running to unseat Ryan, raised more than $130,000 in nearly 24 hours after the tweet. –Hugo Guzman
