Turns out, President Trump is all in favor of transparency -- when it’s politically advantageous for him. But when Democrats get involved, not so much. Earlier this month, Trump declassified a memo composed by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes that alleges the FBI and Justice Dept. used politically tainted intel to mislead a judge and obtain a surveillance warrant for Carter Page, a Trump campaign operative suspected of being a Russian agent. Trump claims the memo “totally vindicates” him in the investigation into Kremlin meddling in Election 2016, though his reasoning remains unclear. Democrats have been pushing for the release of their own memo, one that would rebut the accusations made by Nunes and company. But Trump blocked the maneuver, and tweeted: "The Democrats sent a very political and long response memo which they knew, because of sources and methods (and more), would have to be heavily redacted, whereupon they would blame the White House for lack of transparency. Told them to re-do and send back in proper form!" Democrats have denied those charges and accused Trump of picking and choosing what he wants to make public. Still, while they plan to take a black marker to their memo, it remains unclear if the president will actually follow through and release a new, redacted version. Over the past three days, “Democratic Memo + Trump” has just a 12 percent positive score on Social. –Alex Shultz
