This week marks 500 days in office for President Trump, and he made sure to tout what he feels are his biggest deeds to date. On Monday he tweeted: “We have accomplished a lot - many believe more than any President in his first 500 days. Massive Tax & Regulation Cuts, Military & Vets, Lower Crime & Illegal Immigration, Stronger Borders, Judgeships, Best Economy & Jobs EVER, and much more.” Some of those claims have statistical evidence backing them up. For instance, there have been massive tax and regulation cuts, especially benefitting the wealthy and corporations. Others, like “military and vets,” are a little too vague to fact-check. But Trump has appointed a slew of conservative judges and seen his Supreme Court nominee, Neil Gorsuch, approved by the Republican-controlled Senate. And the job market keeps getting stronger, though that has largely followed a trend started under the Obama Administration. A big chunk of President Trump’s success in the 2016 election was attributed to his appeal to men (especially white men), and while POTUS is quite unpopular on Twitter, he’s still garnering more support among that segment of the electorate than he is among women. Over the past seven days, men give the now-famous handle @realDonaldTrump a 36 percent positive score, while women give @realDonaldTrump 32 percent positives. –Alex Shultz
