Former sheriff of Milwaukee County and current keyboard warrior David Clarke is issuing odd threats from his Twitter account, and he’s hugely unpopular on Social. Clarke—a vocal supporter of President Trump—became enraged over the last week after the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and other news organizations reported on a previously sealed FBI affidavit. Last January, Clarke was so angry at Dan Black, a fellow airline passenger who dared to shake his head at the then-sheriff, that he sent off an email to six deputies requesting that they detain the head-shaker when the plane landed. The FBI obtained some of Clarke’s emails and texts to determine whether he had abused his position of power, but ultimately decided in May not to file charges (a civil case is still pending). The affidavit had remained sealed until recently, and Clarke, who apparently didn’t read any of the actual reporting that made this point clear, tweeted a picture of his head and Trump’s head photo-shopped on some WWE wrestlers beating up on an opponent with the CNN logo for a face. He decried “fake news” and said he was going to make the media “taste their own blood,” adding: “I fight to win. You come at me libs you better bring a hard hat, some aspirin and your veggie wrap because it’s going to be a long day and I’m going to smack you around until you crawl back to your mom’s basement.” Over the last 30 days, David Clarke has a 20 percent positive score on Social. –Alex Shultz
