Although President Donald Trump may have dreamed of being Time’s Person of the Year, turns out the prize wasn’t his to grab. Rather, it’s going to a group of men and women who might have strong words for Trump’s “pussy-grabbing” comments and a past that includes allegations of sexual misconduct. That group, which Time dubbed “The Silence Breakers,” includes those who have called out the sexual assault, harassment and misconduct they’ve survived and taken the perpetrators – alleged and otherwise – to task. Although Rose McGowan and Ashley Judd took center stage in Time’s coverage, the magazine made it clear that it required hundreds of survivors fighting back to start a movement that is seeing victims all over the world speaking up. Social is speaking up, too. It gives The Silence Breakers 76 percent positive sentiments, and has nothing but good things to say about the choice, except for a few holdouts who say they would have preferred someone else. It’s important to note that these results remove references to sexual assault or harassment and only pick up sentiments on Time’s decision itself. –Hugo Guzman
