The American rock band Eagles of Death Metal has seen its fair share of gun violence. In 2015 it was the musical act performing at Bataclan, the Parisian theater, when it was attacked by terrorists who killed 90 people, mostly with machine gun fire. Eagles of Death Metal frontman Jesse Hughes led several fundraising drives in the aftermath and donated thousands for the victims. That's precisely why many online are confused and outraged at his recent comments regarding the survivors of the Parkland (Fla.) high school shooting spree that left 17 students and teachers dead. On Instagram, Hughes called the teens behind last weekend’s March For Our Lives protest "abusers of the dead" and claimed they were exploiting the deaths of their classmates for personal gain and political power. “It might be funny if it wasn’t so pathetic and disgusting,” he wrote. Those comments have opinions of Hughes sinking to 93 percent negatives on 30dB, with social media saying that it's actually Hughes' statements that were "pathetic and disgusting." –Hugo Guzman
