Alabama Republican and U.S. Senate candidate Roy Moore has had a rough campaign since several women came forward to allege that he had sexual contact with them when they were under age. Despite the allegations, which Moore’s steadfastly denies, he is neck-and-neck with rival candidate Doug Jones, a Democrat, and CBS said this morning that he leads among those most likely to vote. Last week, Moore tried to set the record straight with a Wednesday night rally at a small church outside Mobile. Unfortunately, comedian Jimmy Kimmel had other plans. Kimmel, who has been feuding with Moore for weeks and even said bring it on after what seemed to be a fisticuffs challenge from the former judge, sent in an undercover comic, Tony Barbieri, to troll the rally by pretending to be a fanatical Moore supporter. Moore was visibly disturbed, according to The Washington Post, and fled the church in decoy cars after completing his speech. This is the kind of meta-political battle that splits America, but it’s easy to guess whose side Twitter is on. Kimmel is hitting much higher positive scores than Moore is -- 51 percent vs. Moore’s 36 percent. Harsh sentiments such as “disgusting,” a “pervert” and a “pedophile” dog Moore. –Hugo Guzman
