Robert Mueller may not care to be a political pawn, however, he does get animated over his findings the Russians aggressively interfered in our 2016 election, including trying to hack into the voting systems of every state, and that they are already hard at it again for 2020. In response, the House recently passed legislation to provide, among other things, more funding to the States to harden election integrity and keep foreign states from hijacking the 2020 election. On the other side of Congress Mitch McConnell is refusing to bring to a vote a series of voter security bills in the Senate. This move has sent the Dems into orbit and has even got some conservative commentators scratching their heads. One former Republican turned Independent over the GOP’s support of the President, Joe Scarborough, is not mincing words calling the Senate Leader “Moscow Mitch”, and stating McConnell is “aiding and abetting Putin’s ongoing attempts to subvert U.S. democracy”, while WaPo columnist Dana Milbank is even more direct stating “Mitch McConnell is a Russian asset”. There’s no question House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is having an even more difficult time corralling social media than she does her House caucus, however, she’s doing much better than her counterpart in the Senate. While Pelosi is pulling 36 percent positive in social media over the last week, Mitch McConnell comes in at an even more abysmal 24 percent positive over his actions, or lack of action.
